Memphis Meets Nashville: “Let’s Come Together” Music Series Ignites New Pathways for Tennessee Artists
The Arts | July 14, 2025
Whether you’re an artist looking for new opportunities or a fan craving authentic sounds, this is where talent meets opportunity. Let’s elevate Memphis music to the world stage!

The MVP3 Foundation is reigniting Memphis’s music scene with the return of the “Let’s Come Together” music series, an initiative designed to bridge the musical communities of Memphis and Nashville while creating new opportunities for local musicians.

Launched this month, the series will feature singer-songwriters in intimate acoustic settings and present the Unplugged Series, where established artists share their stories and perform original songs. The events will spotlight a range of genres and talents from across Tennessee, complemented by music forums aimed at fostering industry connections and professional growth.

Marie Pizano, founder of the MVP3 Foundation, explained that the series was first introduced several years ago and relaunched last year in partnership with the Brooks Museum. The goal, she said, is to increase exposure for artists from both Memphis and Nashville—highlighting collaborations such as those with Billy Falcon, a songwriter known for his work with Bon Jovi. While similar showcases have flourished in Nashville, Pizano noted that Memphis artists have faced limited opportunities for discovery and career advancement.

“With the evolution of the industry, we are driven to secure music sync and licensing deals for artists and create a more viable pathway for careers, enabling artists to gain recognition on a larger scale in Memphis,” Pizano stated. She emphasized the city’s rich musical heritage, rooted in blues, gospel, soul, rock ‘n’ roll, and rockabilly, and the ongoing need to help musicians navigate the business side of the industry with integrity.

The series will be broadcast on the MVP3 Network, which reaches 10 million viewers, and aims to showcase both established and emerging Tennessee artists. This year, the series expands to Tony’s Trophy Room in Collierville, a venue Pizano describes as “the ideal fit to showcase talent and bring in tourism, especially to other areas of Shelby County/Memphis.”

The monthly concerts, hosted by acclaimed Memphis songwriter, producer, and engineer Jeremiah Tucker, will take place every last Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Tony’s Trophy Room, 929 W Poplar Avenue in Collierville. Tucker, known for his work across country, blues, and R&B, has collaborated with artists such as Levon Helm and John Kilzer, and his compositions have appeared in film and on records by Craig Davis and Bernard Allison.

“I am passionate about performing and hosting singer-songwriter events, and I look forward to showcasing many of Memphis’s exceptional musical talents,” Tucker said. “It's time we start sharing the best of Memphis and truly let the world know what we are made of, and identify new emerging talent.”

The MVP3 Foundation, a Memphis-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is dedicated to using the arts to heal communities and create career pathways for students and industry professionals, while developing a platform for integrity-driven media production and education.
