He pursued his education with equal dedication, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biblical Studies from Lancaster Bible College (Caswell initially mispronounced it as “Langston Lancaster” but quickly corrected himself). He also studied criminal justice and police science at Southern Louisiana University and received honors from the Delta Epsilon Chi Honor Society, among other academic achievements.

A Community Leader and Servant

Pastor Bowers’s dedication to serving others is evident in his involvement with numerous boards and organizations within the Memphis community. He has served on the Memphis Rotary Club East, the Tennessee School of Religion Board, the Streets Ministry Board of Directors, and the Christ Community Health Services Board.

Additionally, he contributed 10 years of service as a staff member of the National Baptist Convention and served as President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Caswell highlighted Bowers’s extensive community involvement, emphasizing that he is "a leader… in our community." This statement underscored the breadth of Bowers's influence and the positive impact he has had on countless lives.
