Wraparound District 6 is a groundbreaking initiative led by Shelby County Commissioner Dr. Charlie Caswell Jr., designed to transform the communities of Raleigh, Nutbush, and Unincorporated Shelby North into safe, healthy, and nurturing environments. Our mission is to create a resilient community by addressing critical challenges in public safety, health, and education through an innovative, collaborative approach.
At the heart of our strategy is the 7Ps framework - Parents, Pastors, Principals, Police, Politicians, Proprietors, and Partnerships - which brings together key stakeholders to drive positive change. We utilize evidence-based methods, including the RAPID model and Communities of Practice, to tackle issues such as crime reduction, health disparities, and educational gaps. Our comprehensive plan includes establishing Resilience Hubs throughout District 6, providing essential services and resources to residents. We're committed to training community members in trauma-informed care, connecting youth with opportunities, supporting seniors, and fostering economic development.
Wraparound District 6 is more than just a program; it's a movement towards unity and resilience. By leveraging partnerships, community engagement, and strategic funding, we aim to create measurable, lasting improvements in the quality of life for all 76,000 stakeholders in our district.Join us in building a stronger, more resilient District 6 - where every resident has the opportunity to thrive.
