As the twinkling lights adorn our county and the scent of cinnamon fills the air, I, Erika Sugarmon, along with my family, extend our warmest holiday greetings to all families here in the Mid-South. This year has been one of unprecedented challenges for our beloved community, yet it has also shown the incredible resilience and spirit that defines Shelby County.

We've faced our share of hardships in 2024. From economic uncertainties to social unrest, our county has weathered storms that have tested our resolve. But through it all, we've seen the true heart of Memphis shine brighter than ever.
