About the Speakers
Erika Sugarmon: Elected to the Shelby County Board of Commission in 2022, Erika Sugarmon has a 25-year career as an educator and is actively engaged in various community organizations. Her extensive civic involvement includes roles on the Youth Village Council, Foster Care Review Board, and TN COVID-19 Health Care Task Force.
Jozelle Booker: As the President and CEO of The MMBC Continuum and MMC-TADP, Jozelle Booker supports minority and women-owned businesses through advocacy, business consulting, and access to capital. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Jackson State University and an Executive MBA from the University of Memphis.
Glenda Pearson: With a background in criminal justice and human services, Glenda Pearson is the Chief Supplier Diversity Officer at Shelby County Government. She is a doctoral candidate in Christian Counseling and holds a certification as a Certified Compliance Administrator.
Trudy Morrison: Serving as a Small Business Financial Wellbeing Coach at Operation Hope, Trudy Morrison empowers small business owners with financial literacy and tools for success. She is dedicated to promoting economic empowerment and financial stability within underserved communities.
