Serving In Christ Outreach Ministry is a community-based organization founded by Lashanta Rudd, a mental health life coach, survivor, and advocate for domestic violence. Established in 2010, the ministry is dedicated to serving disadvantaged individuals in Memphis, TN, through a range of programs aimed at empowering and supporting those in need.
Our Mission
We serve disadvantaged individuals by providing case management, job skill training, and job placement into paid work experiences through transformative mentoring.
Our Founder
Lashanta Rudd was called by God to establish Serving In Christ Outreach Ministries with the vision of building partnerships with other churches to extend ministry beyond church walls. Her direct case management and community outreach experience has positively impacted many lives since the organization's inception.
Our Programs

Workforce Readiness and Job Skills Training: We help disadvantaged individuals secure stable employment and integrate into the community through our job skills training and mentoring program.

Conflict Resolution Classes: Trained instructors facilitate classes focusing on resolving conflicts, improving communication, negotiation skills, and active listening.

Thanksgiving Community Feeding: During Thanksgiving week, we organize volunteers to serve hot meals to homeless and less fortunate individuals from 10 am to noon, providing food, warm clothes, and other essential supplies.

Domestic Violence Support: We offer free and confidential services including crisis response, crisis intervention, case management, counseling, support, and provision of essential needs.

Community Outreach: Since its founding, the ministry has served over 30,000 people through various community service initiatives.
