For over a decade, Magistrate Mitzi Pollard has served as a steady hand in the Shelby County Juvenile Court. With a staggering track record of presiding over more than 46,000 matters, she has navigated the most complex and sensitive cases in our legal system—from child welfare to delinquency—with a focus on precision, integrity, and "Day One" readiness.

A Judge of the People A proud graduate of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, Mitzi’s connection to this community runs deep. Whether she is advocating for families as a former sole practitioner or supporting her family’s legacy at the iconic A&R Bar-B-Que, she understands the grit and heart of Memphis. She knows that for many, a day in court is one of the most consequential days of their lives, and she believes every individual deserves to be treated with dignity.

A Vision for Circuit Court Mitzi is running for Circuit Court Judge, Division 3, to bring her proven brand of Trauma-Informed Justice and judicial efficiency to a broader stage. Her mission is simple: to ensure that the wheels of justice turn without delay and that the law is applied faithfully and impartially to every citizen of Shelby County.

Beyond the Bench When she isn’t in the courtroom, Mitzi is a dedicated mentor to future legal minds and a tireless advocate for the community. From training CASA volunteers to collaborating with various civic organizations, she is committed to strengthening the legal profession and the city she calls home.
