Pearl "Eva" Walker is a community leader and advocate from Memphis, Tennessee. She is the founder of the "I Love Whitehaven" initiative and has been involved in various community projects, such as Whitehaven Black Restaurant Week. In 2019, Walker ran for election to the Memphis City Council to represent Super District 8 Position 1 but lost in the general election.
Walker is deeply involved in the Memphis community and has focused on energy justice. She is an energy justice advocate, writer, and public speaker. She has also served as the Chair of the Environmental Justice Committee of the Memphis Branch of the NAACP. Her passion for helping her fellow Memphians led her to run for Memphis City Council in 2019 to help ensure Memphians have a just energy future.
During her campaign, Walker focused on various issues, including alternative sentencing for minor offenses, supporting pre-booking diversion programs for drug-related offenses and mental health issues, and addressing police-community relations. Although she did not win the election, Walker continues to be an active voice in the community and works closely with local elected officials and organizations on various campaigns, such as the Memphis Has The Power campaign.
