About

Joniqua is a survivor, advocate, and voice for the voiceless. As the youngest of six children, she endured years of sexual, physical, verbal, emotional, and financial abuse beginning at the age of four. Her childhood was marked by trauma, neglect, and isolation, experiences that shaped her self-worth and followed her into young adulthood. Despite the pain and adversity, Joniqua found solace and strength in writing—penning plays, poems, and stories as a way to escape and process her reality.

Refusing to be silenced by her past or by those unsettled by her truth, Joniqua has transformed her pain into purpose. Today, she is a child abuse advocate, children’s book author, business owner, CEO, book publisher, public speaker, and youth mentor. Through her work, she is committed to breaking cycles of abuse, empowering others to heal, and using her story to inspire change. Joniqua’s mission is clear: to be the change, make a change, and ensure that no child feels invisible or unheard.
