We believe that the magic of the arts is not a luxury reserved for the few; it is a necessity for the many. Firefly Creative (Memphis Firefly) exists to dismantle the walls between the stage and the community. We are a nonprofit theatre organization dedicated to the radical idea that storytelling belongs to everyone, regardless of their zip code or their income.
In a world that is increasingly disconnected, we are building bridges. We don't just wait for the audience to come to us; we take the show on the road. From public parks and zoos to schools and community centers, we bring professional-caliber theatre directly to the people.
Our Mission: To provide accessible, high-quality theatrical experiences that ignite the imagination and strengthen the social fabric of the Mid-South. Through "Pay What You Can" models and free touring productions, we ensure that financial barriers never extinguish the spark of inspiration.
We are not just putting on plays. We are creating "third places"—spaces where neighbors can gather, children can dream, and the community can see its own potential reflected in the spotlight.
