For me, that moment feels connected to a little boy named Jerome—me—growing up in Orange Mound, Memphis. A stubborn kid who, even after a rough day at school, dreamed big in his head. He imagined himself one day telling that rude teacher, that doubter: “I’m going somewhere you never imagined.” That little boy believed he could own the school, change the game, and make a real impact. He is the heart of my upcoming book, From Orange Mound to the Super Bowl, a journey that I now share with the world.
