Running from May 24 to August 2, 2025, this program ensures that no child goes hungry when school is out. Meals are distributed at multiple sites across the region, in partnership with the State of Tennessee and the USDA, making healthy food accessible to families who need it most.

Childcare & Youth Development: YCARE

The YCARE program offers safe, affordable before- and after-school care for families in Memphis and surrounding districts. With registration open for the 2024-2025 school year, YCARE provides a nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow while parents work or attend to other responsibilities. The Y’s commitment to youth development extends to summer camps, where kids enjoy enriching activities, build friendships, and discover new interests in a supportive setting.

Financial Assistance & Inclusion

The YMCA believes that everyone deserves access to healthy living and community support. Through their Open Doors Program, they offer income-based membership rates and financial assistance, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to participation. Insurance partnerships further expand access to seniors and those eligible through Medicare, making wellness a reality for all.

Health & Wellness for All

Beyond their fitness centers and pools, the Y offers wellness challenges like the “Thrive in 2025” campaign, encouraging members to stay active, try new classes, and build healthy habits together. Free group exercise options, child care while you work out, and programs for every age group make the Y a true community hub for health.
