• Tech & STEM Leadership
  Memphis is building strong pipelines for Black technologists and entrepreneurs through community organizations and partnerships with local colleges. The goal is to achieve representation and leadership at all professional levels in STEM fields.

• Medical & Health Professions
  With major medical centers and research institutions, Memphis can nurture Black doctors, nurses, researchers, and healthcare administrators by expanding mentorship, scholarships, and professional networks tailored to African American professionals.

• Construction & Trades
  Economic development plans emphasize skilled trades, supporting workforce development programs that create pathways for Black Memphians to excel in construction, engineering, and related fields through apprenticeships and partnerships with unions and contractors.

• Culinary Excellence
  The city’s vibrant Black culinary scene is celebrated through events that support Black chefs and restaurateurs, showcasing diverse flavors and driving economic empowerment and visibility for Black-owned businesses.
