On Monday, February 10th, at 9:00 AM, Shelby County Commissioner Dr. Edmund Ford Jr. will kick off an exciting new initiative in partnership with the Mid-South Minority Council Technical Assistance and Development Pool (MMC-TADP). This program aims to provide training and resources to foster business growth and increase ownership opportunities in Shelby County. The inaugural event will take place in Whitehaven, with additional informational sessions planned across each district to educate and empower the community.

Dr. Edmund Ford Jr., who represents District 9 on the Shelby County Commission, is a seasoned leader with a deep commitment to economic development and community empowerment. With a background as a mathematics instructor and his current role as Senior Financial Literacy Coordinator for the City of Memphis, Dr. Ford has spent years equipping individuals and businesses with the tools they need to succeed.
