Since 2000, Porter-Leath has been rolling out its annual Toy Truck to collect new, unwrapped toys for more than 2,000 local preschool children ages 6 weeks to five years old. This year the toy drive will be held the first three weekends in December.

You can donate — either new, unwrapped toys or cash, check or credit card donations —at one of the following Toy Truck stops:

• Fox 13 Family Focus at Poplar Plaza, 3440 Poplar Avenue — Thursday, November 30 and Friday, December 1, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, December 2, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• WMC Action News 5, 1960 Union Avenue — Friday, December 8, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, December 9, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• IKEA, 7900 IKEA Way — Saturday, December 16, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, December 17, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

You can also text TOY to 50155 to donate. The first $50,000 in monetary gifts will be matched by a Secret Santa in the community.

Part of Porter-Leath’s mission to improve the lives of Mid-South children through a comprehensive range of early childhood and family services, the Toy Truck has provided holiday cheer to local children for 22 years. Not only do the toys provide holiday joy for the youngest children in our community, but the age-appropriate toys collected, such as puzzles, dolls, trucks and building blocks, promote development in young minds all year long.
