Founded in 1980 in the basement of a Westport record shop, The Pitch is Kansas City’s source for progressive, independent, street-level coverage of news, arts, music, and culture. After more than three decades as an alternative newsweekly, we now publish monthly in print — you can find our issues at over 1,000 locations scattered across the Kansas City metropolitan area — and online everyday at www.thepitchkc.com.
