Streetdog Foundation began with a simple phone call that transformed into a lifelong mission. Founded by Melanie and Kent, the organization started when they were asked to check Memphis Animal Services for a lost American Bulldog. This one-hour task led to the rescue of three shelter dogs and sparked a commitment to save more lives.
Our Mission
Since its inception, Streetdog Foundation has rescued over 1,500 endangered dogs from the streets and shelters of Memphis. We operate without a dedicated facility, relying on volunteer foster families to provide temporary homes where dogs receive love, security, and confidence needed for successful adoptions.
Finding Forever Homes
Our primary goal is to ensure the right fit between dogs and their future families. We are not a first-come, first-served rescue; our dedicated volunteers work diligently to match each dog with a household that meets their needs, maximizing the chances of a successful adoption.
Join Our Family
Everyone who fosters or adopts from Streetdog Foundation becomes part of our family. We appreciate your interest in our mission and hope that our compassionate vision inspires you to join us in making a difference for dogs in need.
