Clean Memphis is a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 by concerned citizens dedicated to making Memphis cleaner, greener, and more environmentally sustainable. We engage communities, conduct cleanups, and promote sustainability through environmental education.
Our Mission
We strive to create a cleaner, more beautiful Memphis through community engagement, environmental education, and sustainable practices.
What We Do
- Community Engagement: Implementing our "Zones Strategy" to help community members organize routine cleanup projects and address blighted properties in their neighborhoods.
- Environmental Education: Offering a comprehensive program tied to state and Common Core standards for all schools in Shelby County.
- Project Green Fork: Operating a grassroots sustainability certification program that assists local service industry businesses in reducing their environmental impact.
Our Impact
Through our programs and initiatives, Clean Memphis is working to create a more environmentally conscious and sustainable city, engaging residents, schools, and businesses in the process of positive change.
Join us in our mission to make Memphis a cleaner, greener place for all to live, work, and enjoy.
